Tips to get the best rental home experience:
When to reserve a Havelock rental & When to go:
- The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- Summer months are high season in the Havelock area. To get the best rental for your budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Owners sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Havelock area travel guide magazines which will include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to choose the best rental home in Atlantic Beach:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation week, and select a budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration you need. Oceanfront Bliss In Atlantic Beach, NC has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Havelock rental home search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If not, contact the property management company before reserving the property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what bed configuration is optimal for your vacation.
- Some properties allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property management company about pet restrictions before booking.
- Looking for unique amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
More considerations for your visit:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of difficulties.
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would back home.
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your visit, note any problem areas upon check in. text the property manager immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible resource to find the best local beaches.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a great vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
