- In the Havelock area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- Some hosts offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers often offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Look for your local Havelock visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines have money saving offers on local tours, shops, and attractions.
Planning, picking, and booking the right Havelock rental:
- To start, have your group select the best dates and a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Double Queen-Unit 305 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking websites. If not, email the property manager before booking the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.

More tips for your stay:

- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would at home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave a review! Hosts rely on good reviews to stimulate future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback.
