Strategies to get the perfect Havelock vacation home experience:
Get the most from your spending budget:
- The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Booking your vacation home in Fall or Spring months is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Some hosts offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Often, rental management companies supply Havelock area visitors guides that include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Make a plan and choose the rightvacation home:
- First and foremost, have your family select the best dates and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your group needs. PETS Welcome for small extra fee..Walking distance to Beaufort Waterfront has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the host before reserving your home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or might be applied to your contract.
- Is your group looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
Tips for a smooth stay:
- Get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
- During check-in, document any issues with the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental one final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
