Finding the best vacation property experience:
When to visit Pine Knoll Shores & When to reserve a Havelock rental home:
- Summer is the most expensive season in the Havelock area. To get the largest vacation home within budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Havelock attractions. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some owners offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
- Property managers typically offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Look for your local Havelock visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitors guide magazines contain discounts for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Choosing and booking a perfect Havelock rental home:
- Start by choosing trip dates and a max budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Soundfront
Gorgeous Sunsets &
Family community atmosphere has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Havelock rental home search. - Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally available online. If they are not listed, email the host before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
- If there's a specific Havelock beach you simply love, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
- Some rentals allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable breeds and types before booking.
Additional considerations:
- Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
- During arrival, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific source for finding the best local spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
- Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental a final time and look for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on great reviews to propel more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
